These lenses are divided into two basic
categories, polycarbonate and high index. Polycarbonate has the
highest impact resistance, but its visual quality isn't as good as
high index. We believe high index offers the best overall performance
package. Both lens designs have their place in the retail market.
Lighter lenses mean less overall eyewear weight which is always for
the best. These lenses are also thinner so they are more cosmetically
appealing. It is the job of the optician to help you decide which lens
material is best for your application.
